Zuzana Majerová ze strany Trikolora uvedla, že plánovaný Migrační pakt Evropské unie bude mít významný dopad na východoevropské státy. Její vyjádření odráží nedávné komentáře francouzského premiéra Gabriela Attala, jenž zdůraznil, že migrační zátěž se nebude primárně týkat západní Evropy. Podle něj se východoevropským zemím dostává větší pozornosti v kontextu přijímání migrantů.
Attal upozornil, že některé země střední a východní Evropy dosud odmítaly přijímat imigranty. Ve své řeči navrhnul dohodu, kde by tyto státy měly mít možnost buď akceptovat stejné množství migrantů jako například Francie nebo Španělsko, nebo platit za zabezpečení svých hranic. Tato situace naznačuje možné budoucí napětí mezi jednotlivými členskými státy EU ohledně migrace.
Odpor proti migračnímu paktu vyjadřuje široká koalice vlasteneckých stran jako SPD, Trikolora, Svobodní a PRO.
